Roles on a shared resource are separate from org roles (Admin / Manager / Member). You set them in the agent’s Access tab, or in the Share dialog for other resources.

Agents: Owner or User

An agent has two roles. There is no editor or viewer any more. What a User sees and whether they can copy the agent is controlled by the switches in Access → User Permissions. See What can a User see on my agent?.

How to assign a role

  1. Open the agent and go to the Access tab.
  2. Add owner or Add user with their email, or set General Access so the whole team or organization gets User access.
  3. To change someone later, click their role and pick Promote to Owner or Demote to User.
For a company-wide agent that people should only talk to, set General Access to Organization and hide the parts of the setup you do not want exposed.

Other resources

Skills still use the generic roles: Owner, Editor, Viewer, and Use Only. Shared tasks grant Viewer access. See Sharing a skill.

FAQ

Make that person an Owner. Owner is the only role that can change an agent.
No. Team members get User access to team agents. Add them as an Owner if they should manage it.
No. User Permissions apply to the whole agent, not per person.
Yes. Set Make a copy to Don’t allow in Access → User Permissions. It is allowed by default, and a copy includes the full configuration even where visibility is hidden. See User Permissions.
