If an agent’s Owners are unavailable, an organization admin in the same organization can manage the agent through administrative access and can claim durable ownership. Claiming does not require every existing Owner to be gone.
  1. Sign in as an organization admin and open the agent.
  2. Click the menu next to its name.
  3. Choose Claim Ownership.
You become an Owner and can edit the agent, manage access, and add other Owners.
Claim Ownership only shows up when you reached the agent through your admin override and you are not already an Owner. Admin access lets you open an agent; it does not make you its Owner — that is what claiming does.

Avoid this in the first place

  • Give important agents two Owners. Gumloop will not let you remove or demote the last Owner, but that does not help if that Owner’s account is deactivated.
  • Keep shared agents in a team rather than someone’s personal space. See Create a team.

FAQ

Ask an organization admin to claim it, then have them make you an Owner.
No. Users and General Access stay exactly as they were. You are added as an Owner.
Use Request Owner access, or have an org admin add you as an Owner from the Access tab.
