After the next sync of the source. Brain captures each document’s sharing settings at sync time, not live. Run a manual sync to see a permission change immediately, or wait for the next scheduled sync (typically hourly). To sync manually, open the knowledge source in Brain and use its sync action. Once the sync finishes, the updated permissions apply right away in search, browse, and agent answers.

Some providers propagate container level permissions to individual documents gradually, so a sync run immediately after sharing can catch documents mid update. Wait a few minutes and sync again.
Only if the sharing changed in the original system. If the documents were already shared with them at the last sync, access applies immediately once they can see the source.
