--dir writes the complete plugin package under the chosen directory instead.
Existing files are preserved unless you pass --force, which replaces them. --json reports installed and skipped paths. Installing instructions does not authenticate the CLI; see authentication.
Use managed skill sync to keep your organization’s managed skills synchronized. Plugin installation and managed sync serve different purposes.
