# Migrate off a deprecated connector

Gumloop can replace one of its own connectors with the app's official connector, run by the app's maker. Gumloop marks the old connector **Deprecated**, and you can't add it to agents anymore. Agents that already use it keep working until you migrate them.

| Deprecated connector | Replacement | What the replacement does |
| - | - | - |
| Gumloop's **Notion** connector | **Notion**, managed by Notion | Search, read, and edit pages and databases. |
| Gumloop's **Webflow** connector | **Webflow**, managed by Webflow | Manage sites, pages, CMS, and SEO settings. |

The connectors catalog now shows only the replacement. Your existing accounts for the old connector are still listed under it.

## Migrate an agent

You need edit access to the agent.

1. Open the agent. In **Connectors**, the old connector shows a **Deprecated** chip. Hover it to see **Replaced by the official Notion connector** (or Webflow).
2. Open the connector's **⋮** menu and select **Migrate to the official Notion connector** (or **Migrate to the official Webflow connector**).
3. Review what carries over in the **Migrate to the official Notion connector?** dialog, then select **Connect Notion and migrate** (or **Connect Webflow and migrate**).
4. Sign in to the replacement. The switch happens only after it connects. If you cancel or the sign-in fails, the old connector stays attached.

## What carries over

| Setting | What happens |
| - | - |
| Approval setting | The connector's approval setting carries over. Per-tool approvals and **Never allow** rules carry over only for tools the replacement also has. The dialog lists any that end. |
| Your account | You connect the replacement with its own account. The agent uses it once it's connected. |
| Agent-owned account | Not carried over. Pin an account for the replacement after migrating. |
| Agent already has the replacement | It keeps its own approval settings and account. Nothing carries over from the old connector, and Gumloop removes it once the replacement connects. |

## Good to know

* **Duplicating an agent** swaps in the replacement. Pin an account on the copy.
* **Custom roles** show a **Deprecated** chip on the old connector. Gumloop copies role restrictions on it to the replacement. If a role limited the old connector's tools, the replacement starts with no tools allowed until an admin picks them.
* **App policies**, such as claims, domain restrictions, and app rules, still list the old connector, so existing connections stay governed. Set policies for the replacement separately.
* **Not affected:** the Notion [app trigger](https://docs.gumloop.com/core-concepts/agent_triggers.md#app-triggers) and the built-in Notion [Brain](https://docs.gumloop.com/core-concepts/brain.md) source are separate and keep working.
