# Managed skill sync

> Synchronize managed Gumloop skills into detected coding-agent targets.

```bash theme={"dark"}
gumloop sync
gumloop sync --non-interactive --json
gumloop sync --once --non-interactive --json
```

`gumloop sync` reconciles managed skills into detected user-level coding-agent targets. Persistent setup can enroll the machine and configure background synchronization. `--non-interactive` disables prompts and browser opening; configuration that needs interactive setup must already exist.

For an ephemeral environment, `--once --non-interactive` performs stateless synchronization using `GUMLOOP_API_KEY` and `GUMLOOP_USER_ID`. It requires both variables. Supply credentials through your environment or secret store rather than embedding them in scripts.

Sync writes managed skill files locally. `--verbose` lists changed skills and `--json` returns a deterministic result. Read [skill sharing and administration](https://docs.gumloop.com/cli/skills.md) for managing the source skills.

In Python, managed sync is available on the synchronous `Gumloop` client only. `AsyncGumloop` does not expose `client.sync`.
