# Coding-agent plugin

> Install bundled Gumloop instructions for coding agents.

The bundled plugin teaches coding agents how to use the Gumloop CLI. By default, installation targets detected coding-agent skill directories. `--dir` writes the complete plugin package under the chosen directory instead.

Existing files are preserved unless you pass `--force`, which replaces them. `--json` reports installed and skipped paths. Installing instructions does not authenticate the CLI; see [authentication](https://docs.gumloop.com/cli/authentication.md).

Use [managed skill sync](https://docs.gumloop.com/cli/sync.md) to keep your organization's managed skills synchronized. Plugin installation and managed sync serve different purposes.
