# Query personal wiki

> Read the authenticated user's personal wiki cards.

`POST /api/v1/wiki/query` reads personal wiki cards. Authenticate with OAuth (`gumloop_api` scope) or a personal API key and user ID. Team API keys are unsupported. Access also requires permission to use the personal wiki.

```json theme={"dark"}
{"type":"project","entity_key":"launch"}
```

| Field | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `type` | Optional: `person`, `organization`, `project`, `agent`, `profile`, `note`, `tone`, or `design`. |
| `entity_key` | Optional canonical entity key. Requires `type`; not accepted for `profile` or `note`. |

Send `{}` to list all cards, a type to list cards of that type, or both fields for one card. The response contains a `cards` array. Cards include their type, entity key, name, summary, status, row facts, and source metadata where available. A single-card query includes its full facts. A requested card that does not exist returns `404` with `wiki_card_not_found`.

This reads the caller's personal wiki, independently of [Company Brain search](https://docs.gumloop.com/api-reference/brain/search.md). In Python use `client.wiki.query(...)`; in the terminal use [`gumloop wiki query`](https://docs.gumloop.com/cli/wiki).
